Communications Specialist, College of Fine Arts
Esther Robards-Forbes has joined the College of Fine Arts as a communications specialist. An Austin native, she brings more than 15 years of experience in writing, journalism, communication strategy and media relations, including roles at the Austin American-Statesman, the Better Business Bureau and UT's College of Natural Sciences.
Outside of the office, Esther has been a professional karate instructor, a horseback riding teacher, a scare-actor during the Halloween season at a haunted theme park, and even worked as a cowgirl on her family’s cattle ranch outside Bandera—experiences she swears all come in handy in communications.
When she's not writing, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two children and hanging out at the stable with her horse, Frisco.
