Faculty Professional Development Program

The College of Fine Arts offers an annual series of professional development workshops for its faculty members. The workshops range from introductory to advanced and are delivered on topics within all three regular categories of faculty performance (research, teaching, and service).

Moving From Industry to Academia

Presenters: Chair Michael Baker, Associate Professor KJ Sanchez, Associate Professor of Practice Jon Freach 
A panel discussion about the peculiarities of the first couple of years of transition from industry/profession to the academy/professoriate. Experienced faculty members who made this transition will share their stories of what the challenges were and where they went to learn how things worked.
